  2. no, its far too ladada for us peasants.

  3. Queen Victoria kept a diary and portions of it have been published.  I would expect that the current Queen also keeps a diary, but we might not see portions of it published in our livetime.

  4. As far as I know, every member of the royal family is obliged to keep a diary. But they´ll be under lock and key until 100 yrs after their deaths. And they´re for historical  usage ONLY.So it seems as if there will never be a #1 New York Times bestseller "The private diary of Queen Elizabeth "

  5. Yes she does and no I doubt it will.

  6. i dont know but it doesnt sound like a good idea to me cuz someone bad could get a hold of it and publish things that should be kept a secret but like i said i dont know plus i dont know ity measures they provide for the queen cuz im american and i dont know a lot about the queen but im sure they have a lot of security cuz they do for the president!

  7. I believe the parts of Queen Victoria's diary published was hardly the typical diary stuff. It was more about her observations about Scotland and country life.

HM The Queen does keep a journal, but like those of other monarchs, it will never be published and most likely not available to scholars. The private writings of the monarchs are keep under lock and key. I believe they might be read by heirs to help them understand how to deal with situations and let them know they aren't alone in feeling what they do.

  8. No-one on this site is going to be privy to that kind of information, are they?

  9. She does keep a diary but it won't be published for a long time, probably not till after her grandchildren have died.

  10. Yes, the current Queen Elizabeth II does in fact keep a personal diary. It is possibe that she will have it published (at least partially) since Queen Elizabeth II is the second female monarch to rule after her great-great grandmother, Queen Victoria, who also had her private diary published after her death. Before she died, Queen Victoria requested that Princess Beatrice (her youngest daughter) edit her journals and diaries before they were to be archived and published. As the Queen had been keeping a journal since her early years, the task was enormous and Beatrice spent the next thirty years editing her mother's journals. In doing so, she followed Queen Victoria's instruction to remove anything that might cause pain to persons mentioned or to her relatives. The Princess transcribed the text in her own handwriting and burned the originals. She finished the task in 1931 and the 111 volumes of Queen Victoria's edited journals are at the Royal Archives at Windsor Castle.

  11. she probly wouldnt want her true feelings read by millions

  12. I have read a book on the life and times of George V, the present Monarch's Grandfather, in which there were many quotes from the late King's journal.

King George VI, The Queen's father also kept a journal and so does Her Majesty. One would imagine after an appropriate amount of time future generations may get a glimpse or two, however, I cannot imagine that a journal entry of something as sensitive and personal as the demise of the late Diana, Princess of Wales would be published.

  13. The Royal documents such as personal diaries are kept for a number of years after the Royals death. After a certain time they are released to the public.
