Does The Secret work for everyone?

Please share your manifestations or not so good experiences after practicing the principles of The Secret.

I started visualising and practicing positive thinking as soon as I read the book, I also watched the movie. I asked my inner self to give me a sign if I was doing something wrong, whether to follow the principles of The Secret or not.

As soon as I started my day, a boyfriend didnt turn up for our date, I was given a ticket by a policeman for my car tinting being too dark, I saw a text msg that was not meant for me but was about me (another person actually dislikes me) My phone drowned in a cup of coffee, I then used another old phone and the charger was taken off me, then a person that I havent seen for a long time rang me saying he wants to return something that belongs to me that has no value- meaning a great inconvinience for me. All of the above happened in four hours.

I know what everyone is going to say next, I am focusing on the bad things that is happening to me. I tried to stay positive the whole time, even watched a comedy show to forget my frustration.

The Law of Attraction states that you attract bad things if you think of bad things. I havent had any bad thoughts since I started practicing The Secret and why is this now happening to me? Am I wasting my time. Im a skeptic and I need to hear from others if they have manifested anything? I am looking for a job and my positive thinking has only given me bad luck? Please help.

  1. I don't know all that much about "The Secret" (other than that Oprah was going on and on about it... which pretty much put me off it!).

However, if *everyone* works on that "law of attraction" thing then how would it really work? I bet everyone who practices The Secret stuff visualises earning loads of money, owning a big house, having a great marriage, whatever... but in reality how would that work? Not everyone can earn 6 or 7 figure salaries, afterall... it's just not sustainable.

    I, frankly, think it's a crock...
