Does The Sims 2 Double Deluxe work for The Sims 2 Seasons Expansion Pack?

I bought The Sims 2 Seasons and I didn't know it needed the Sims 2 in order to play. I have the Sims Life Stories but it doesn't work for it. Do you know where to buy the Sims 2? I've looked for it in Walmart, Target, Gamestop, and Bestbuy and I didn't find it.

yeah the sims 2 deluxe will work. just bought mines from best buy and its working beautifully. vote me best answer please.

I don't think they sell the base game by itself anymore so you'll have to get one of the combinations.  The Sims 2 Double Deluxe has the base game, Nightlife, and Celebrations Stuff pack.  It's a better deal to get it that way than to buy all of these separately.
