  1. During Basic you’ll wear your Utility steel toe boots. It depends on what rate you are going for. The ones that mainly wear combat boots are the ones that wear camies. You have to wear 8inches or higher boots with camies, so you can tuck the bottoms in (blouse). If your rate doesn’t require you to wear camies, then you’ll probably just wear the new Service Uniform or Working uniform (the gloss low cut shoes).

They are getting rid of the Working Whites/Blues. Now, they have Service Uniforms. They're still keeping the Dress: Summer Whites and Winter Blues.

  2. Wearing boots everyday is part of the uniform. My husband has found that the boots you have to buy at the base tend to wear out fast, see if you can find a website that sells them for cheaper. Get used to boots cause you will be stuck with them everyday!!

  3. It all depends on what your doing.

Parts of my career, I wore boots [6 years].

Other parts I wore heavy steel toe work shoes [mostly in school].

And other parts of my career I wore sneakers or loafers [14 years].

  4. As of October 1st, which is the New fiscal year, The working uniform for the Navy will be Digi's, which is just like the Army's Cami's but blue and white, they are mandatory that you wear boots, and their Dress will be Just like the Marines, Kahki Blouse and black pants.
