Does Tipperary have its own airport and if not, what would be the nearest?

THanks everone for information and entertainment. Recently found out that my great grandmother was born there.

  1. An airport in Tipperary ... the nearest airport to Tipperary town is Shannon, but Cork airport is also close enough to drive to Tipperary town within a couple of hours.

  8. Cork or Shannon airport. Shannon is on Limerick/Clare border. There is also Waterford airport.

    Any of these are near to Tipp.

  10. The nearest Airport is Cork Airport.  It is about 100 km away

  12. No it doesnt....the nearest international airport would be Shannon Airport in Co. Clare which is less than half an hour from Limerick city.....you can also fly into Dublin which is not advisable if you can avoid it because it's a nightmare of a city to get around if you're not intending on staying there....

    But my favourite Irish airport is Knock because it's small and easy to go through!
