  1. No. He has put up pretty solid numbers, but in a game that has recently been dominated by the home run, and stats like RBI's, there isn't a lot of room for a first baseman who doesn't hit for power.

  2. Not a good one. If he had managed to hit .400 it would have given him a nice boost. Playing his whole career in Colorado certainly hasn't helped either.

  3. i don't think so...when you look at his career numbers, they just don't really stack up all that well, and voters are going to hold it against him that he played in colorado his whole career

  4. Yes, because his statistics have been very solid, and very consistent over a long period of time.

  5. No.  Great numbers, solid year after year contributor, World Series trip, gold gloves, a run at .400 - but this back injury he has got seems more serious than they are saying.  Moving Atkins to first every day and bringing up Stewart?  My guess is that he is not expected back this year.

He may be done, and guys that are done at 34 don't make the Hall.

Consider Dale Murphy.  He and Andre Dawson owned baseball for a 5-6 year stretch.  Hit 398 HR, and is the only back-to-back MVP to not get elected to HOF.  And he isn't close.  Would you really expect Helton to make it before Murphy?

    Love Helton, but no shot.

  6. yes

  7. No.
