Does Tomtom work in Sardinia Italy?

I am going to Sardinia Italy and wanted to bring tomtom go 510 and wondered if it works? Also where can anyone recommend somewhere to get the map fre or cheaper (that is reliable!) Thanks! :-)

its satelite.  it should.

mine dose but you will probably have to download the maps from their web site. mine is world wide. hope that helps
