  1. It isn't clear what you are asking. Toronto is located in Ontario which is considered eastern Canada.

  2. Toronto is located in Canada.  I don't know what you want answered.

  3. God put Toronto in Canada for a reason.....

  4. First of all, there is nothing 'West' about Toronto -- it is neither in the wester part of the country, nor the province.  The middle of Canada is located between Winnipeg and Thunder Bay.  Anything to the right of that point (on the big map in your head), would be Eastern Canada.  Toronto is generally considered to be in Central Canada. People in North Western Ontario refer to Toronto as "Down East".

We tend not to refer to any parts of Canada as 'mid'.  Most Canadians lives within a few hours drive of the border, so our population is all huddled up in the most southern parts of the country.

Hmm ... that makes me wonder how the US can have a MidWest, but there seems to be no corresponding MidEast?  Is it because the residents don't want to be referred to as Middle Eastern?  Perhaps I should post that question and get me an answer ;)

  5. Toronto is part of Central Canada. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Can...

The Midwest is American. Toronto is Central Canada and is its own city.

  6. If you're asking whether Toronto's urban setting makes its people act harder like you see from someone in Chicago or New York, the answer is a big no.  I've been traveling to Toronto for over 20 years.  Although I've seen courtesy and reasonableness go down with Toronto's driving community (I was nearly hit when three different drivers at one intersection all pulled into oncoming traffic to beat a light last year), overall the city is much more friendly than you see in other urban centers.  On one trip, a store owner we always visited until she retired answered her phone and asked the person to call back because "the people we know from the States are here."  Although I assumed it was probably her son or husband on the other end, can you imagine someone in Chicago, New York or Los Angeles making such a wonderful fuss over someone from Canada or Mexico?

It might not make much sense to most if I were to call Toronto a unique freshness on an urban landscape, but that's the best way I can describe it.
