Does UPS ground shipping ship on saturdays?

Well I ordered a package from florida and now on saturday its made to to my state but I was wondering if it shipped on saturday? If not could I pick up the package on a saturday? Also what would I need if I went to pick it up?

All you need is an ID, and ideally a shipping reference number
