Does UPS ship on the weekends?

I bought a iPod Touch on Tuesday and it got delayed. Today is Friday and when I go to UPS.com it says that my package is suppose to be here next Tuesday, but it also says it is in transit to Longmont, which is where I live. If UPS doesn't ship on weekends, then shouldn't my iPod be here on Monday? Why would it take two days to deliver my iPod probably 3-4 miles? Also, could I pick up my iPod at the warehouse?

did you forget that Monday is a holiday? UPS will deliver on saturday (if you paid for saturday delivery did you?)

you might be able to pick it up at their hub

Ship, yes...home deliver only at Christmas time on the weekends.
