    The government body no longer meets nor does the member states acknowledge the authority if it would meet.

    The first country out of the USSR was Russia when the russian government decided to follow the rules and laws set by the soviet government.

    In realiy the true USSR only lasted maybe 1 or 2 years. The soviet system is a system of commune farms and factories that elect the leaders of the country. Way to go Lenin, the man who destroyed the USSR and the soviet system and replaced it with Russian dictatorship.

    So that is what still exists, the Russian empire. Russia wants to have control over the former members of the USSR.

  3. NO. The USSR was broken up in the early 90's or late 80's.

  4. Well, not officially, but I hear it's making a come-back.

  5. it broke up in 1991 and is now the Russian Federation. they lost a lot of land like ukraine, estonia, georgia, belarus, latvia, etc.
