  1. Under Armour keeps you warm enough most of the time, but you'll find that it is very, very overrated if you've used anything better and can tune-out their marketing machine.

Fact: very few serious outdoors people use Under Armour.  "Serious" means people who may die if their apparel choices underperform, such as mountain climbers.  Those people often use brands such as Patagonia, Arc'teryx, Marmot, TNF, Mountain Hardwear, etc.

Back to your question...  Under Armour feels very warm in the store, that's for sure.  They also talk a lot about moisture-wicking.  But the problem is that UA puts a proportion of nylon and/or spandex next to the skin, which are materials that don't dry nearly as well as polyester, or even merino wool.  When UA wets-out, it dries faster than cotton, but much slower than just about any other performance baselayer.

  2. yea, but i've found that anything spyder keeps you warmest ( this is just my opinion) but that can get pricey

  3. Yes, get some under armor cold. It insulates your body heat so it doesn't escape, and Repells the cold. Yyou will probably sweating after about half a dozen trips down the hill, but it is easier to remove a jacket if you get to hot then not be warm enough. Have fun

  4. Yes.  underarmor cold gear is really warm.  its pricey, but well worth it.  it wicks the sweat awayfrom your body and insulates it.  You wont need so many layers to keep warm, so you will be able to move more freely

  5. I have no idea.
