  1. Technically it does, but only minimally for typical broadband users.  I used to have SunRocket (before they closed down) and I seem to recall that it only needed up to 80Kbps max for bandwidth.  Given most offerings are in the Mbps, a few Kbps is not normally going to be noticed.


  2. It will be such an insignificant difference you won't even notice the usage.. that is assuming you are using broadband.. if you are on dial-up... that is a different story
