Does Vancouver B.C. Canada have home school?

Question

I go to home school here in California! We are moving to Vancouver B.C. this summer.

I am wondering if anyone knows if there is home school offered in Canada because I would like to continue homeschool in Vancouver.

I am currently in 10 grade going to 11th.

You can definitely homeschool in Canada.  Our government actually gives us a budget to homeschool.  We're signed up with  a facilitating board who helps us stay on track, offers all kinds of programs and activities, monitors our budget and performs our PAT tests when needed.  You don't have to sign up with anyone, but you won't receive any budget if you don't. The amount you receive depends on how aligned you are to your provincial standards.  You don't receive money.  You purchase your materials and then claim them.  We only align with L.A. and Math.  We like having the freedom to pursue whatever science, social and other subjects we choose.

Yes they definitely do! Not to worry sweetheart you will be fine in homeschool in Canada. I believe they are actually better in Canada.

Like in the US, where each state has its own laws for homeschooling, in Canada, each province has its own laws.

Yes, homeschooling exists in B.C. You can just register and do your own thing, or you can enroll with a school and follow the program they tell you to follow (which is meeting B.C. learning outcomes). You can read more about this here: http://www.bchomeschool.net/content/view...
