Question:

Does Vegan Lip Balm Exist?

I'm in the market for a lip balm that ideally doesn't contain animal products or fragrances & flavors.

Can you recommend anything? Alternatively can you tell me what you use and why?

Lists and links are welcome!

Thanks!

  1. buy it online at http://www.etsy.com/index.php they hav everything

  2. Just use Vaseline.  It's what all lip balms are made of minus the colours, flavours and scents.

  3. I don't get why the first answerer got so many thumbs down.  Etsy is a GREAT place to find vegan body care items, and they're all made by hand and reasonably priced.  That is your best bet, hands down, unless you want to make your own but that person got tons of thumbs down too.

  4. I'm pretty sure there is.

And you can make your own... unless you don't use bee's wax. I'm unsure if vegans don't use bee's wax.

It shows you how to make lip balm with coconut oil and bee's wax at about 1:39

  5. you can get some from whole foods,

or if you go online at petacatalog.com they have some as well.

  6. The Body Shop is a company that doesn't use animal products or animal testing. they have great lip balms, but they do have fruit fragrance I think.

  7. I use Merry Hempsters Vegan Lip Balm.  They are scented/flavored though.  They use organic hemp oil.

You can also find them at Whole Foods Markets and some online vegan stores.

  8. I use Alba lip balms, but they changed their formula recently to include beeswax.  You might still find some of the old batch on the shelves.

If not, go to http://www.veganessentials.com and you'll find some options there.

  9. There should be, but I"m not positive. You could always try making your own though.
