Does Vespa make modular flip-up helmets? If not, where can I find a cool vintage looking modular flip up?

  1. By vintage looking, I'm assuming that you're talking about a 3/4 or open face helmet. HJC makes a couple of open face helmets that have a flip up face shield. If you're ready to drop $400, the Shoei J Wing looks particularly nice.

    If you choose to get a flip up shield helmet, you'll sacrifice the jaunty little sunvisor on many models. The face shield just can't flip past that visor. Luckily, many models allow you to mix and match. You can wear the just the visor or just the shield. It depends on your style or safety preferance.

    Personally, I would like my face to look nice if I get into a riding accident. So I have a full face modular helmet. My boyfriend also wants that vintage look, so he uses a 3/4 helmet and some vintage looking goggles.

    But if you're buying this weekend, motorcycle shops have a ton of models to look at. Good luck!
