I am working on a paper for my economics class, and so far I think that Walgreens could best be described as a monopolistic competitor. Is there a better answer?

  1. They're not a monopolistic. They compete against CVS, Rite Aid, Wal Mart...

Comcast is somewhat a monopoly where I live...pretty much the only cable company in town other then dish TV, but Comcast has the Blazers on TV and Dish and Direct TV customers can't get it. So Comcast controls the market in Portland.

The NFL, and NBA are monopolistic in their respective sports, but they have anti-trust exemptions.
