The Black Bryony and White Bryony are climbing plants. I once saw black bryony twined around another plant in an anti-clockwise direction. Does the White Bryony have the same climbing nature?

  1. Similar but not exactly the same. White Bryony (bryonia dioica) climbs through other plants and supports itself with tendrils. Black Bryony  (tamis communis) also climbs through other hedgerow plants but uses its twining stems as a means of hanging on.
