no it`s free.and you don`t need to download it. you have already in windows.just go to start ,all programs and you see it there.

Hi there:

WMM is free of charge and should already be installed on your PC. Click 'Start' then "run' then enter moviemk.exe and it should boot up.

However, it must be said, though, that WMM is not the best tool out there. Apparently CNET rated it 1 star out of 5 due to stability and response issues.

There are numerous other free editing tools for video you might want to try:-
