  1. I dont think Maywether cares. One guy's said on here, it wont hurt his reputations because everyone is waiting to see him lose. I can go wit that. I believe thats why people watch his fights. They complain thats he runs but still watch. I bet anyone on here would take the 20mil for the WWE match, when its fake. I think, if money is the issue, why dont Cotto put up. If he know's he could win, do it. If I know I can beat a guy, I let him pick the time place. I believe a lot of people is making the case, Cotto team is not making.

  2. No not really because Mayweather is getting paid $20 million for this event. Who could blame him for taking it up? Mayweather is a showman, an entertainer. I give him credit cause he knows how to roll in the dough. I'm not a big fan of his but it will not hurt his popularity only get his name out there more. What will end his popularity is for him to Lose a boxing match. I think the reason he is so popular is everyone is waiting for someone to knock him out LOL!

  3. No, because it's not a legit contest. It's all predetermined. If he were beaten in the ring in a legit boxing contest against, say, Oscar DeLa Hoya (not very likely - a rematch has been mooted for September 2008), then it would seriously dent his rep.

  4. i think it will ruin his reputation to all the hardcore fans because instead of wasting his time on a fake match, he could be fighting Miguel Cotto

  5. I don't think that it will ruin Floyd's reputation.  Plus, he is getting a HUGE payday for the work involved.

Even though this is a staged event, Floyd is getting his name out there.  Any publicity is good publicity.

  6. It's all about the $$$. It depends if you like characters then it doesn't hurt his reputation. He fits right in with all the gimmicks of the WWE.  Mike Tyson has been there and done that already. But to be in the WWE's biggest PPV, more power to Floyd.

P.S. He should scratch the upcoming De La Hoya fight in which the first fight should of never taken place at all. Fight Cotto!
