Does Yahoo delete groups for incomplete user profiles?

My moderator has received emails from other yahoo groups she is in that is stating all membership should include name, age, and locations - if these details are not included Yahoo will delete your group - is this true?

profiles are personal to the user, but not to any group. some owners require them filled out but Yahoo does not

That is not true. It is just another rumor.  If this information was required by Yahoo, when users set up their public profiles, it would be noted in the process.  

The only time that info is required is when a person is registering for a Yahoo account which is different from user profile.
