Question:

Does Your Toddler Like Having Haircuts???

Our Middle son only likes them when it suits him.

The eldest doesn't care too much, doesn't like scissors near him though. And the youngest Toddler, adores his hair dresser. He tells he *A little bit more off here* It's adorable.

How about your Toddlers??

  1. My little girl is 2 years and 3 months and she is no where near her first haircut! Her hair is still short. They vary so much young kids.

  2. No, my youngest son hates it, he's nearly six now and hasn't had his hair cut since forever, it's really long. He looks like a little caveman lol but my wife think it looks cute and fashionable and he likes it himself, at least he looks a little different from all the other kids, if he's happy with his hairstyle so are we :)  even though it's now longer than his little sisters hair is lol

  3. my son just got his first hair cut he is 1 and i took him to a place where they only do kids. and Honestly with all the distraction i don't think he knew he was getting a hair cut. They put a movie on and he was in the zone....  and well my baby is a very calm baby he does modeling a lil bit so he is easy to work with and doesnt fuss only when he is hungry....

But i guess yeah i would say my son likes hair cuts... hehe

  4. Daughter, loves them, would probably have no hair left if I let her get a cut every time somebody in the family does, but my son......no way he hates them. As soon as they touch his ears he is screaming like they are killing him, lol.

  5. Joseph just loves it that he is the centre of attention!

He is quite good at getting his hair cut, but get restless after about 10 - 15 minutes.

Hardest part is getting him to stop looking around the shop, or watching the other people, or wanting to say "hello" to everyone!

Don't like it much when they start to trim around his ears tho..

Anyways, Thought today was your birthday? why you home on Y/A?

Get a babysitter and get that hubby of yours to take you someplace posh for a meal.....

    ZERO

    and yeah

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR CHARRRRRRRRRRRLI

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU  !!

HIP HIP HORAY HIP HIP HORAY HIP HIP HORAY

    2nd EDIT

Kylie, my Joseph is EXACTLY the same, he will let the girls coo over him and cut his hair, but no way will he let a man do it... LOL

And you should see him with the checkout chicks at woolworths! He's such a flirt! and hes ony 3 1/2!!

  6. sadly mine did not get haircuts till they were 2.5. My son didn't really need one but I thought if his sister is on to her second then I better give it a little trim lol. He was a baldy. Shannon tho has ringlets so she didn't have many cuts but I never had a problem. At 4 I shaved Elijahs head at home. That was fun for me lol. Now he has long hair and gets the occassional trim. Shannons gets cut every school holidays. But now they are 9 they have a little say in it all so are quite happy to have it cut. Sadly shannon had her long hair cut to shoulder length. It took a bit to convince me. I liked it long but now she can do it herself so she is happy but I do miss the long hair.

Hey happy Birthday. Have a great day.

  7. My 5yr old used to hate her hair being cut, but now loves it and if her hair starts getting a lil bit longer, she's like "Mum you need to take me back to the hair dresser", I had her hair layered a few months ago when I had mine done, lol, now she's addicted to hairdressers but she's ok with me cutting it, but prefers hairdressers as it makes her feel like a really big girl lol.

3yr old HATES it only because she can't stand being still. lol. I've only trimmed her hair once every other time she is impossible to do it lol.. Going to try again sometime in the next few weeks, as her hair is out of control long and in ringlets that knot up something fierce.

    ***EDIT***

    It's your birthday today? Awww

"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you,

Happy Birthday dear Charli, Happy Birthday to you"

hope hubby makes it  up to you when he gets home, hopefully sooner rather then later.

    ((Hugs))

  8. I can't believe your toddler says "a lil more off here" that is so cute!!

My son's hair grows sooo fast, he's had like 11 hair cuts, and he's 3 years old. He will sit still for the first part of me cutting his hair, but abut half way through he gets really fidgety & annoyed.

If I take him to a professional, he will sit very very still, and quiet.. but only if we are standing right by him & he isn't nervous. If we walk away he cries really bad.

    Parental support =)

  9. Lol. When I took my son on his first birthday to get his first haircut, it was a disaster! He screamed and cried and I basically had him in a headlock! Lol. People were staring like omg. I was glad to get out of there! lol.

  10. I cut my kids' hair. Sometimes they holler but are passive for the most part. My oldest moved once and he got a short "guard" where it wasn't supposed to be (I ended up having to cut the whole thing to that length)

  11. Ayva has never had her haircut - so i dont know how she would go (i'm refusing to cut her curls just yet) - though she did through a bit of a tamty once when Zach was getting his hair done - she wanted it done too!

Zach - well usually he's very good. But 2 weeks ago when i got it cut he screamed the whole place done, and was very difficult. And do you know why ( i think anyway) - Because his daddy took him to a barber, so his hair was cut by an old man - usually he gets it done at the hairdresser with mummy - with lots of girls around, cooing over him. Does that tell you he's a ladies man or what!!

  12. It was more painful for me than my son, lol.

Angus turned 3 in may and he only had his first haircut just over a month ago.

He has very slow growing hair, he still looked bald at 18 mths!

I didn't want him to get it cut but I was out-voted so we took him for a trim.

He loved sitting watching himself in the mirror whilst it was being cut and was enjoying all the attention from the hairdresser.

I was devastated all his baby curls were cut off so I won't be taking him for another haircut for a long time!
