  1. No.. thats a very very basic camera.. there are cameras under £30 that are 5mp!

Its show big you can print out the picture and the amount of pixels affects the quality of the photo. Although when it gets past 10mp then its only generally for how big you can print the photo.

I have an 11mp camera so that i can print out in A2 or A1 for my alevel projects

    I hope that helps :D

  2. Not really, but the first nikon DSLRs werent any better...and people still buy\sell them on ebay.....which is sad...

  3. It is a trick question because most of people believes that more Mega pixels better the image but it is not exactly true becasue if you have a 20M Pixel camera with bad lens and bad sensor you will have a 20M Photo with bad quality but in other hand more Mega Pixels also means newer technology so better sensors and better lens to capture the image.

A real example a Nikon D40 (DSLR) has 6MP but take better pictures than any 12MP point and shot cameras. Why? Better lens and better sensor.

Mega Pixels are very important to print the photo, higher the MP bigger the photo you can print without distortion.

Now returning to your question, probably the image quality will be Bad because it must be a very old technology, if it is a cellphone normally the lens are bad so the image quality will be bad.

  4. NO, it is a tiny number of pixels

Most newer cameras start at 6MP and go up to over 50MP (new Kodak sensor used in Hasselblad cameras)

Look here for suitable, good quality digital P&S cameras

  5. it can take good quality pictures but not very big ones. 1 megapixel is equal to 1 million pixels. the higher number of megapixels the larger the image. some cameras can take nice low resolution, small, photos and some cant. it depends on the quality of the camera. more megapixels almost always means the best image.

  6. dude get a phone with atleast a 2.0 or 3.2 megapixel camera in phones.. they are going quite cheap these days (Nokia N73, Nokia 5610 etc..)

placing it simply... The more the megapixels the better is the picture quality... 1.3 is very very basic..

  7. not really a phone has 1.3, but its ok if you just want pictures and are not going to make them quite a big size, get AT LEAST 3+

  8. No, the quality is very low, and you will certainly notice color distortion, such as added blues and reds.

    The various Megapixel choices are:

    1.3

    2.1

    3.2

    5.1

    6.2

    7.1

    8.2

    10.2

    and 12

Anything above 5 is good. Anything above 8 is great.

I would suggest more mega pixels for the great zoom cameras. If it have a 12x zoom, you will need 7 or so mega pixels.

  9. Nope....like they said...higher the number for mp and zoom the better the camera

  10. WHAT!!!! lol nice name, no 1.3 is ok for a phone or we but u need better it is reli basic some proffesional ones go up to 12 more pixels bigger better picture, also take up more memory xxxxx

  11. If it's part of a cell phone, I'd say "no" to good quality pictures...  I've never been happy with the pictures I've seen taken with a cell phone camera, except for the most casual photos never meant to be printed.

OTOH, I have a SiPix 1.3 Mp camera I bought about six years ago, and which I still use around the house for casual photography of family and such.  (The short battery life in the camera makes it unsuitable for trips where access to an outlet to recharge the batteries may be an issue.)  This camera will make very decent 4 by 6 inch prints, and is very much up to the task of taking general purpose photos that will be used only for web site and eBay postings.

IMHO. a 1.3 mp camera (not cell phone) with a decent lens (like my SiPix above) will work fine for casual general prints up to 4" by 6", and for posting on the WWW.

  12. the higher the number, the better the quality. My camera phone is 2.0mp.

  13. Noooo lol

I think on most cameras megapixels are between 6 and 12.

7 and 8 you're getting into some pretty good ones... obviously higher the number the better quality the pictures will be.

    :)
