I'm thinking about taking a 1 semester literature course, 1 semester grammar review course, and 1 semester economics course, and 1 semester computer course of some sort in my junior year. I was wondering if these classes would suffice as a full high school credit for collage or only half a credit b/c its half a year. THe courses are online so here is the address:

http://www.pottersschool.org/tps/courses.asp

high school courses are about a third of the way down the page.

THanks for the help!!!

  1. no half

  2. economics does, everything else counts as 1/2 credit. Unless your doing to lit classes.

  3. at my school any semester class counts as a half credit

  4. Instead of semesters these should be based on hours.  The high schools in our system are on block scheduling which means all courses are one semester only.   Classes last about 1 hour 45 mins.   One full credit is given for each subject.   I looked at the listings and the classes are  1  1/2 hours long, therefore can count as one credit.

  5. A semester course would be a half credit, unless it was a two hour block class of some sort.
