Question:

Does a 120 watt amp use alot of electricity?

i hav an amp a guitar amp line 6 just in case anyone was curious

but anyway i play alot about 1 hour a day or so .. i use the amp at the lowest possable volume i dont noe if that makes a difference but i just wanted to know if this uses alot of electricity

  1. It uses very little energy.

    About as much as an Old TV, the same as a couple of lightbulbs, a bit more than an average laptop, less than a modern PC with a decent graphics card.  And that is if you have it turned up to maximum volume.

    At low volume, it will probably use about as much as a lightbulb.

    (small note - 120 Watts is the music power output, the amp itself will probably draw about 400 Watts to power that at full blast - a normal lightbulb uses round 100 Watts)
