Does a 16 yr. old need an ID to fly?

I'm 16 years old and I'm leaving on Tuesday for California and I cannot find my student ID from this year, just the one from last year. It has my picture, birthday, etc., it's just from last year. I'll be traveling with my dad, but will I still need it? Will they take last year's?

Does not matter how old you are, you need I.D. If you cannot find this years student I.D go ahead and take last years. Just in case you might want to take your birth certificate with you. What I would do is call the airport you are departing from and ask them if you will need anything else. If you happen to have a pass port then just use that. If not take your school I.D.
