  1. It depends upon the number of calories you burn compared to the number your eat. A daily 2 mile walk should definately keep you healthy as long as your diet is too. Pigging out on junk afterwards will easily undo all your good work. Although walking is great your heart and lungs need occasional vigerous exercise such as running or cycling too.

  2. Walking will help control your weight. You are burning cals. It also contributes to a healthy cardio system.

You won't have good muscle tone though unless you work on that as well.

I walk anywhere from 1 to 2 miles every day, when you add it all up.

  3. A 2 mile walk is a good start to a healthy lifestyle.  You also have to eat healthy.  You should get about an hour of activity in everyday to maintain a healthy heart.  As for other exercises it really depends on what your trying to achieve.  Walking is a good start but will not make you really fit.

  4. Walking the right way makes you healthier, more confident, and helps you walk easier and faster. By walking the wrong way, you may waste energy, look funny, or even hurt yourself. Flapping appears when you feel that your feet is hitting the ground with a slap and gets no roll. This may happen because of heavy shoes or weak shins. You may get rid of this inconvenience if you get flexible shoes, like running shoes with a low heel. I read about this at http://www.projectweightloss.com/index.p...

  5. It's beyond a 'good start.'  Walking 2 miles every day will give you tremendous results in weight-loss and decrease your risk of heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, vascular diseases, muscle atropy, and 5,000 other health-related issues.  2 miles would only take 35-40 minutes.  It's fun and easy and your dog will love you if you take him on walks every night.

Anything that gets you off the couch is good, but walking is what humans were made to do.

  6. Well, a 2 mile walk will take longer than 30 minutes, so that is the recommended minimum amount of exercise you need a day, but try to elevate your heart rate while you're walking. Maybe speed-walk or walk uphill to get your heart pumping.

  7. Of course.  A two mile walk increases flexibility and burns calories, which will keep off weight, and lower your blood pressure.  Drink lots of water too, your body will thank you.

  8. It is good, we should do cardio every day and 2 mile walk it's great. But it would be good if you add other kind of exercises like strenght training and eat healthy.

  9. Yes.  try to keep up a good clip.
