No.  None of the 360 models play HD DVD's out of the box.  You have to buy the separate drive for it, which runs about $60 new.

just buy the DvD upscaler if you have a Hd tv the upscaler will play the dvd regardless of it being a normal dvd blu-ray or Hd dvd the dvd upscaler turns it up to what u set it for instance myne is set to 720p but you can set it to 1080p so u save 10£ per DvD and the upscaler is only 40-50£
