I know American citizens and I think Australian citizens need a visa to visit Brazil, but do I need one? I'm a full British passport holder.

  1. Why not ask the Brazilian embasy for a definitive answer? Foreign Office http://www.fco.gov.uk/servlet/Front?page... has contact details.

  2. Citizens of the UK do not need a visa to Brazil if they are visiting for Tourism purposes.

  3. You can go to Brazil only with your passport, you will get a stamp here for tourism pourposes only. You can stay for 6 months in Brazil!

I hope you enjoy the country!

And if I may suggest, go to the northeast (great beaches and people), Mina Gerais (historical state with historical towns) and also the amazon region. I'm Brazilian and I must confess, try to avoid Rio de Janeiro. It's beautiful, but Brazil has much more to show and without the violence that Rio has!

  4. no but you need your yellow fever certificate

  5. You don't need it. They only require visas for citizens of countries that require visas from Brazilians. It's called retribution. The UK doesn't require Brazilians to get a visa, although I think they should cause in some parts of London you hear more Portuguese than English.
