1 Timothy 2:11-13 (New International Version)

New International Version (NIV)

11A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 12I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. 13For Adam was formed first, then Eve.

I supervise about 25 men. Is it their God given duty not to submit to my authority? I don't want to put any christian souls in peril. In the future, should I only hire women and atheists?

  1. Of course he does!!!!!

  2. All Christians obey a female boss...GOD. God made man in his own image? Well lets see the implications of that:

    1) They male Y chromosome is simply an evolutionary chip off the female X chromosome......sounds like God created females first

    2) Physiologically, the fetus develops as the default female fetus until a point where the presence of the Y chromosome allows masculinisation of the female fetus...female is the default s*x in nature!!!!

You gotta realize, at best most christians read the Gospels...all that stuff by the saints is s*x obsessed and misogynist ...its nothing to do with Jesus...they even changed his name to Christ to subvert his teachings towards whatever c**p was in their obsessive compulsive ill minds. We kinda get a feel for what is good and evil and we live our lives accordingly...that's why the western way of life is so successful

  3. Women or whoever ..if she is your boss that's it..a person should be able to work with anyone..you"re too old to pick up your toys and go home..like I told my son when he was a teen you don't have to respect the person but you must respect their position.

  4. I wonder how did you get this position having such beliefs.

OK take it easy. You could have made it clear, I'm not a prophet. Now I wonder how these 25 men are coping under your supervision with you having such attitude and temper, LOL. I would not like to be in their position.

  5. Religion is a tool to build a righteous society. Some passages in the Bible are useful. We pick them from the closet. The obsolete ones go to the museum.

  6. I'll submit to you, sweetheart, anytime. Maybe this weekend you can house break me.

  7. Yeah, if they want to continue working there and collecting a paycheck.

  8. You are first and foremost their supervisor. Then you are a woman after that. Probably not sounding quite the way I intended, but hopefully you get my point.

  9. Well if he wants to keep his job, yes.

  10. you better bring yourself back to the 21st century.

    Christian opinion.

  11. If they want to keep their job they will.

  12. Well, they don't HAVE to do anything.  But if they want to keep their job they'd better.  lol.

  13. Hire anyone who doesn't come to the job interview with a bible or skin implants.

  14. By your very question and comments I can tell you aren't a competent boss. You can't separate your pitiful little ego from your duty to those you should be directing.

Maybe you should apply for a job at Abercrombie and Fitch.

  15. Only if he wants to keep his job.

  16. Yes he was talking about not letting women have spiritual authority such as being a pastor of a church.

  17. I am a Christian man. Of course, I would obey a female superior, provided that she were not asking me to do anything that violated basic morals (a standard to which I would also hold a male boss). I respect women, both in and out of the workplace. My church does not teach Biblical literalism, and I have no interest in using my religion as an excuse for misogyny.

  18. Out of the dark ages. If you ever wanted proof that religion was to control people, then here you have it.

  19. If he wants to keep his job, yes.  If he objects to a female boss for religious reasons, he's welcome to quit and find a job with a male boss.

You have a right to practice your religious beliefs.  That doesn't mean the rest of us have to cater to them.

  20. These verses are a call to the married life.

Furthermore, the verses in a delicate way place emphasis on the story of Adam and Eve, how Eve became the first victim of satan etc...

The latter chapter/verse doesn't have anything to do with employment/work.

Remember, when married ~ the two flesh ~ become one, both genders must learn to talk over a situation/dilemma then work toward making a productive decision.

Try to avoid using the bible in a way where you review it one sided, the latter will always cause conflict of which satan enjoys; taking bible verses out of context will always cause error.

    God bless'

  21. Yes a Christian must obey a female boss. The verse in question is about women having spiritual authority over men or teaching men spiritual matters.

1Ti 2:12  But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

  22. Should he wish to keep his job...

  23. Only if she's correct.

Does that thumbs down mean she should be obeyed...even if she's wrong?

  24. yes, he most certainly does

He did not have to take the job and he can leave anytime he pleases

as for woman being quite in the church that was Paul straightening out a bunch of heathen women they were out of order and all talking in tongues at the same time, asking unlearned questions and generating strife which was forbidden so Paul said let them be quite and ask their husbands at home

I am really quite sick of this question, I think it is the only scripture in the Bible saying this, and men want to make a big deal of it

that is male shoving  bullying of the female and he thinks he is so big he can walk on her and be proud I think he is totally out of the will of God and unlearned in doctrine or sound scriptures

    :)
