  1. No, a cold shouldn't be a concern unless you just don't feel like having someone in your home.  The insurance company is gathering information to verify the answers on your application such as height, weight and nicotine use, and for health concerns that you are unaware of.  They aren't concerned about a common cold or any other short term illness that doesn't have long term consequences.

  2. yes it can affect your results.  A lot of times when individual is sick it is best to reschedule the tests as your blood cell counts and liver enzyme results may be elevated as a result.

Here is some information and tips to ensure best results from a paramed exam.  Good luck.

  3. You can always reschedule the exam.

  4. no, but you can call and ask them too.

  5. Your illness would not have an effect on the outcome of the life insurance qualification. The health examiner is going to withdraw some blood, gather urine, get your height, check your weight, and check your blood pressure.

Unless your illness is severe enough to send you to the hospital, then that may disqualify you or put you in a non-preferred rate class.
