Does a DVD camcorder still work the same as all the tape camcorders?

I want to know can you stop recording and than continue were you left off?

No. Each time you hit pause or stop, you will start a new clip.

Warning: DVD based camcorder provide the WORST possible quality for editing in your computer or uploading.

Best quality is miniDV tape, next best are hard drive and flash memory based camcorders.

Worst video quality are DVD based camcorders.

No they don't. Similar, but the media is quite different.

My advice is simple:  don't even touch a DVD camcorder. Burn them if they get into your house.

Seriously, though, do not recommend them at all, for anybody.
