A known fact it is that most countries do adhere to the Democratic form of governance, which is the liberal type of government (People are given rights and ownership, as well as financial and personal gain), and it may have its advantageous rewards to those who have private enterprises and ventures (which are mainly businessmen), it does not seem quite fair to everyone, most especially the common masses. Communism, on the other hand, may cross out all hopes of personal gain and success in private enterprise, it aims to also eliminate poverty by equally dividing the populace revenue and distributing the profit to each and every citizen, by which the people can never gain control of their money nor their right to personal gain. Yet, in doing so, the people, most especially the businessmen and the capitalists will be able to rid themselves of personal gain and prosperity and therefore, Poverty and Corruption will be eliminated.

  1. How do you figure corruption would be eliminated ?

O.K. I just stole all your stuff , now what?

  2. Yes. And you will always hear that communism is the road to a utopian society....on paper. In theory a communist government is perfect. Strange that, on paper, a democracy is perfect too. Are you seeing the similarity here?

Most social structures work very well until you add humans to the mix and then you would have to control those who exercise their natural tendencies to rebel.

Also you have to take into account the when you attempt to have a society based on a communist idealism, you have to make sure that there are no outside influences.

Once might assert the Levi jeans lead to the downfall of the Soviet union.

  3. of you actually think that poverty and corruption are eliminated with a Communist government, then check out North Korea. and sure, China's rich, but its people aren't. here's a shot of North and South Korean, tell me who's prospering better.

Communism is a guaranteed way to make EVERYONE poor in a country, plus, it just doesn't work anymore, it was beautiful in the caveman and indian days, but these days the world is just too big for communism to work anymore, Marx's ideas of Utopia are far gone. and all of you who just want a government to take car of it all for you won't look elsewhere and see what exactly that kind of thinking has done to the soviet union, china, north korea, and others.

    it just DOES NOT WORK.

as for democracy, it is by far the fairest of all forms of government, however, countries are again, too big for them to work, to make it as fair as possible, we've established a republic, where local citizens elect a state senate and house of representatives, and also elect to the national senate and house, these officials, sworn to uphold the beliefs of their constituents, discuss major issues at the national and state levels, taking the people's opinions to heart.

questions, email me, i could most certainly go on, but i've taken up too much space already

  4. True communism does not exist in the world.   There will always be classes within every society.    Socialism is the closest any country will get to communism.   The problem with Socialism is that it does not encourage effort and ingenuity.

The US is not really a Democracy either.    We are capitalists.   As long as there are some controls to keep things from getting totally out of control from a greed prospective, this is the most effective form of government.   It encourages people to achieve and work hard because they are directly rewarded for their successes and punished for their failures (financially).

  5. I like communism and would happily live in a communist society. Quite a few others don't and would live in such a society only if they were compelled to. Organizing society so a large fraction of the population is forced to do something they would never do except at gunpoint is a loser. Much better to muddle along as the British and Chinese do with many social institutions, but also lots of personal freedom for both personal enjoyment and economic innovation.

  6. In terms of real world application, yes it does.  Democracy permits more freedoms for citizens that Communism would otherwise deny.  Examples include freedom of Religion, freedom of the press and so on.  In theory, Communism should all equal and free treatment of all people regardless of race, religion, s*x, and so on.  However, all past examples of Communism have lead to oppression and corruption.  In theory I'd go for Communism, but in all practicality I choose Democracy every time.

  7. I believe democracy has its up and downs but it is still the most practical form of government.  In this democracy you have freedom to make choices and you feel included on certain issues...on the other hand people are in poverty and things but that's USUALLY becuase they put themselves there (NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE)

communism on the other hand, no one gets to be better then someone else and everyone stays equal.  So think of it this way, people who slack are getting the same results as people who work hard.  No one wants that! Take school for example, you know those kids who never study and still get As and you get mad at them because you have to study really hard???

Communism would give you that feeling in my opinion

    :)
