Im a Fl. resident currently attending college overseas (S.America), and since, I comply with all the requirements to be selected for the juror's pool, a summons arrived in the mail at my Fl. home. How can I be exempted from serving this civic duty?

  1. My son was in the Marines when the jury notice came.

I wrote giving all the particulars of his being out of the country and why.  Include your name, current residence(S. Amer) and the name of the school.   Your summons for jury duty will be withdrawn.

  2. You cannot be exempted easily, its upto to the judge's descretion to see if the circumstances are such that you will be unable to attend. The reason may come under holiday in which case you may be exempted.
