can a player use any size bat he wants??? if so...why don't they use a real hard wood type beaver tail shaped bat...so they could hit those pesky curve balls?? of course they might not be able to hit homers... but...at least they will make contact more often......soooo....any laws against a real wide bat???? like a mallet??

  1. 2 5/8

  2. Rule 1.10 (a) The bat shall be a smooth, round stick not more than 2 3/4 inches in diameter at the thickest part and not more than 42 inches in length. The bat shall be one piece of solid wood.

edit: Wow!  Quote a rule from the Major League rulebook and get 2 thumbs down for it.

  3. yes there is an official size they cant pass 2 5/8 now i dont think that you can get past it but i think you can get under it.

    hope this helps
