A NY giant baseball from 1953-1954 has the following signatures of these players, Bobby tomson, Hoyt wilhelm, Sal Magli, Whitey Lockman, Alvin Dark, Sam Calderone, willie Mays and Leo Durocher.

Do you think this ball worth much in today's market, I am interested in buying one from a friend of mine.

Please give me some advice because I don't know much about these players.

thanks

  1. i see the name willie mays and im pretty sure his signature is worth something lmfao

  2. Definitely.  A lot will depend on the type of the ball, and the conditon of the ball and the signatures.  You should keep the ball in a dry, dark place so the signatures don't fade.  There's 3 Hall of Famers on the ball (Mays, Wilhelm and Durocher) plus Bobby Thomson who hit one of the most famous HR's ever in 1951.

There's one listed on ebay right now for $1299.00, signed by the 1953 team.  http://cgi.ebay.com/1953-Team-Signed-Bas...
