I was wondering once you become part of the royal family by marraige do you have to be trained proper "royal etiquette" or do you just do what you normally would do? I know anyone in the royal family will marry someone who is already "up to par" as far as being born into wealth and prominence but is there any further "rules and regulations" on what to do, what not to do, what to say and how to act, dress, socialize, etc.? I know it's just a movie but is it really like the whole Princess Diaries thing with Anne Hathaway?

  1. Yeah, being a frigid snob takes lots of training.

  2. yes they need to be trained and have their will completely trampeled on and then conditioned to their way of thinking

  3. Royals will have advisors, who they can ask for advice and suggestions about certain situations.

However there'll be no obligation to do any specific training or anything like that.

In the UK, look at Prince Phillip- royal by marriage and definitely not trained in etiquette. :-)

  4. Most girls who do marry into royalty are from the upper classes and already know basic etiquette. These women do need to learn about the royal history of their country. They need to learn who's who in the royal world and in the political world.

As to clothes, they have to dress appropriately for their rank. They get to meet with professional stylists and designers if they want to do so,so they can find their own style.

Generally, upper class women do not dress in extremes;they dress with good taste, wear a natural makeup, keep their nails groomed and not long and claw-like with intricate designs painted on,and the hair is well groomed also.

The Princess Diaries shows a teen-ager from the middle class learning about the upper class way of doing things,in a theatrical way,of course.

  5. They're advised, but they're posh anyway so they know what's what

  6. Well, I am sure they have to be trained. I mean, you should read up on Princess Diana, of Wales, who died in 1997. She had to put up with that and she didn't like it.

  7. I already answered this over that email....so can I get best answer..please? :D

    Cheers, dear!
