Does a TB test hurt and how big is the needle?

I have to get a tb test tomorrow and i was wondering if it hurt bad and how big the needle is?

  1. Nope. It feels exactly the same as any other shot I've gotten.


  2. The needle for a TB test is extremely small.  It is not poked into the muscle like other shots.  It's just a small prick and some of the liquid is injected just under the skin.  It stings for a second but it's pretty much painless.

I had one last week it didnt hurt a bit i thought it will but i looked away the nurse injected me and it didnt hurt one bit it will itch and there will be redness but that is normal the tb result will be positive by the hardness and the bumpyness of the area injected good luck ps if the test shows up positive it will always show up positive even after the tb virus is gone because the injection messures the antibodies not the tb virus itself
