I had stolen cable, but time warner cable cut it off, i was thinking of putting it back but i bought some converter boxes for the antenna. The image looks awesome, and i like it. Then i was thinking of putting the cable back and connecting it to the converter box, will it still work ,and watch cable digital and better image?

  1. Yes but it won't look any better because basic cable is still SD.

  2. If you mean the type of converters that the government is handing out $40 off coupons for, no it will not work.

When the government wrote up the specs for the coupon program they made sure they would not work with cable systems.

  3. ya

  4. Cable does not transmit their digital content using ATSC, which is what coupon-eligible boxes recognize. Cable uses what is known as Open QAM to deliver their digital TV content. So what you propose won't work.
