Does a TV Tuner card work with cable box?

I want to buy a TV tuner card for my PC. I have Bright House and a digital cable box. If I connect those two together will I be able to watch tv on my computer like on Windows Media Center, and be able to record shows with it?

yes it will if you installed it correctly. and if it is a tv tuner just hook it up directly to the cable no need for the cable box!

It won't work for some of the premium channels, it will only get the same channels you get if you hook the cable directly to the tv instead of the cable box output.
