There's THOUSANDS out there!  Just enter "free cross stitch patterns to download" into Google, Yahoo etc. to find them.

enclose "Free cross stitch patterns" in inverted commas as shown here to narrow the search.  

Why not design your own?  Get some graph paper (the transparent sort) and place it over any design you fancy - fill in the squares, and there you are!

If you can't find the transparent graph paper, draw a grid on some greaseproof paper to make your own.

I find that there are heaps at DMC.com I have done several and they can be adapted for petit point if you wanted to make a cushion or 2 as well!!

I always find info you have asked about going through google. as first step. I would word it  free links to sites for free cross stitch pattens. Ask.com works also. ask google. best search engines or free cross stitch patterns. Ask Yahoo free cross stitch patterns. All above wil lead  to further sites.

Marthas stargazer is a very good site for free patterns.
