Does a bowl of oatmeal equates with a bowl of rice?

i would like to ask whether a bowl of oatmeal has actually thesame calories, fats, amount of carbs with a bowl or rice? will i actually lessen the calorie intake if i chose to eat oatmeal rather than rice?

and oh sometimes i put some brown sugar and slices of banana in it..

  1. probably not because oats is recommended even for dieters on a low-carb diet. add a dash of cinnamon powder.  


  2. whole oats have less calories and are have a lower GI than rice.  if you use a ripe banana you won't need to add brown sugar.  as banana's ripen the starches in them turn into sugar which is why they get sweeter.

    brown sugar is table sugar that has been coated with molasses.
