Does a cake frosted with 7 minute frosting have to be refrigerated?

i need a frosting recipe using granulated sugar, and found a no cook one that sounds really good. Will i have to keep the cake in the refrigerator or will the frosting hold up at room temperature?

it will be ok at room temperature but i like to frost cold cakes. they hold together much better and are easier to frost in my experience.

Your cake will be fine at room temperature.  I never refrigerate mine unless it has cream cheese frosting or whipped cream frosting.  The 7 minute frostings stay stable (and delicious) at room temp.  Loosely cover the cake to keep it fresher.
