Does a camcorder or Digital camera both in US work in UK or Ireland?

  1. Digital camera no problem, the video will probably record in NTSC format rather than PAL, so replay direct to a TV won't work, but you can still copy it onto a computer. The chargers will be wrong input voltage, but you can always buy a charger in the UK for that model.

  5. Will they work?. Sure. Both will take pictures or capture video. The power may be different, but most power bricks are dual voltage - and if not, an inexpensive transformer will resolve that very easily...

    If you want to connect an NTSC camcorder to a PAL TV, you will have viewing/playback problems. The frame rates are different... That's why the different markets (US, Asia, Europe) have different models - they are either PAL or NTSC based depending on where they are sold.
