  1. Any foreigner needs a visa, but you don't have to apply for one in advance. You can turn up with your passport and get a six month tourist visa. If you wish to work though, you have to apply in advance.

  3. A Canadian passport holder requires no visa for a tourist visit to the UK; no visa for a tourist visit to the EU; and no visa for a tourist visit to the Schengen countires.
