I need to take some of the footage out and edit it. So I REALLY need to know how to do that! Please and thanks!

  1. Yes. Easily.

    Your computer needs a firewire400 port. You will transfer the video using a firewire (IEEE13094a, i.Link - all the same thing) cable connecting the DV port on the camcorder to the firewire port on your computer. USB will not work.

    If you are using Windows, Microsoft MovieMaker is already loaded - with the camcorder in "Play" mode, you will "Capture" the video.

    If you are using MacOSX, iMovieHD is already loaded - with the camcorder in "Play" mode, you will "Import" the video.
