  1. Yes, the sound of your nylon strings will sound better, especially if you will play the classical ones in a plucking manner.

Good luck and may you learn more to appreciate the guitar music and cultivate your musical talent.

Have a nice weekend! GOD BLESS.

  2. Definitely. It should work better than with all metal strings (less chance of buzzing) The only thing to check before buying one, though, is make sure that it is wide enough. Most classical style guitars have slightly wider necks. Good Luck

  3. I don't see why not. In theroy it would work better. Only problem could be neck width.

  4. YES... of course it does... what makes you think it wouldn't?  All you had to do to answer your own question was, slap a Capo on your guitar and SEE what the effect is.  I usually have a few Capos setting around so I can just grab one when I want one... and it doesn't matter if I'm playing a Classical guitar or an Acoustic guitar... I use the SAME Capo.

In fact... they work quite well to keep the page open by clipping it to the music stand with a Capo... works better than a big paper clip.

I just read the posting by "Pete N"... obviously he hasn't played many Beetles songs because many of their songs can't be PLAYED unless you Capo the first Fret or Two, since it's how THEY played the songs.

  5. You can use a capo with nylon strings but assuming you have a classical guitar then you need a capo specifically designed for a flat fretboard.  (Steel string guitars have a radiused - that is, curved - fretboard.)

The Shubb S2 or C2 will work perfectly as will the Kyser Classical model.  Do NOT let the guy in your local music store sell you a generic capo.

  6. sure

forget the capo though.  Learn the real way

  7. Yes.
