Does a car title indicate ownership of the vehicle?

  1. Thats exactly what a title does.

    It indicates the owner of the vehicle, any lienholders,the date the vehicle was purchased, the odometer at time of purchase, and the status of the title, whether original, duplicate, salvaged, etc.

  3. 100% correct, as long as the car is fully paid with the bank (lien holder) not showing on the title, or with the lien released letter showing that the car is paid in full...

  4. Yes that is what a title is for. It lists the owner and also the lien holder which is the real owner until the loan for the car is paid off.
