Does a cassette adapter use the battery of your mp3?

i have a cassette adapter which i use in my car and i was wondering if it uses the battery from the car or the mp3? thanks x

If it doesn't have its own battery it might not need any power other than the audio signal.

It does get it's power from the player. But, a cassette adapter will use no more power from your MP3 player than a pair of head phones.
