How about the VCR? Are there any other devices that make use of analog waves instead of digital formats?

  1. Analog: VCR, Cassette tape, TV, Radio

Some TV's use a digital format on some inputs, and convert it to analog.

CD and DVD players use digital data from the media, but the data is in the form of low voltage analog signals that have to be amplified and processed before they are recognizable digital signals. These are then converted to analog signals.
